Competition 1 Coach Evaluator Training
A Coach Evaluator’s role is to contribute to the development of coaches after they have acquired their NCCP training. This includes assessment, evaluation, debriefing, and follow-up with coaches trying to achieve Certified status. Coach Evaluators are experts in the observation process and have in-depth knowledge of the evidences that comprise the evaluation tools that establish NCCP
standards for Certification as a Competition 1 (Introduction) coach.
Coach Evaluators must first complete the Make Ethical Decisions (MED) Online Evaluation and the CAC Coach Evaluator Core Training Module prior to the Coach Evaluator Sports Specific Training [in any context].
Coach Evaluator candidates must fill out and submit their completed application package. Application package, along with all accompanying documentation should be sent to the Education Program Manager at Gymnastics Ontario.

Successful applications will be notified via email and awarded a special achievement in Uplifter, which will allow the Coach Evaluator candidate to register for the Coach Evaluator course(s) online. Each discipline for both Artistic and Trampoline will have a separate achievement. Coach Evaluator candidates will only receive permission to register for the course(s) in which they meet the recommended coaching criteria.
- Candidates must be pre-approved by Gymnastics Ontario to register for Coach Evaluator training
- Candidates must attend the full course to receive course credit
- Candidates must have a valid GO Membership (coach status) in the same season the course takes place
A valid [unique] personal email must be recorded during the registration process in order to receive all future email communications from Gymnastics Ontario.

- Microphone/speakers or a headset with speakers
- Access to the internet (preferably high speed).
