GymCan Directive
Eligibility Criteria:
- Athletes and Coaches must be a member of Gymnastics Ontario - 2021-2022 season, in the proper category.
- Athlete Category Levels:
- Elite 4
- National Open
- Junior 14-15
- Junior 16-18
- Next-Gen Seniors
- Senior 21+
- Coach Requirements - As per GymCan Directive: "All registered coaches must be certified NCCP Competition 2 in MAG or have obtained an exemption in writing from the Men’s National Team Head Coach. A coach who is employed on a full-time basis by an organization based outside Canada is exempted from this requirement. A coach without the proper certification must request an exemption." - All coaches, support staff (head of delegation, chef de mission, team manager, and chaperone) and integrated support team (IST) who will participate in GymCan national competitions must have completed the following requirements.
- Completed Enhanced Background Check, Canada-wide and/or International Police Checks (http://sterlingbackcheck.ca/
cac_ace). - Complete Respect In Sport online e-learning module package (http://gymcan.org/resources/
respect-in-sport). - True Sport Clean101 UNTRACKED e-learning course (http://cces.ca/
truesportclean101untracked). - CAC Making Headway online learning module (www.coach.ca/concussion).
- Completed Enhanced Background Check, Canada-wide and/or International Police Checks (http://sterlingbackcheck.ca/
- Proof of completion/documents listed above will be required upon registration.
- Upload ONLY ONE (1) document at the time (i.e. DO NOT BUNDLE all documents in a single PDF)

REGISTRATION:
Payment and registration must be done by the club through Uplifter. Clubs can login to register and remit payment using the same account that they use to register their participants for GO Memberships.
All athletes and coaches must register. Registration includes:
- Competition Registration in Uplifter
- Payment via Uplifter (club account)
- Forms & Documents (see "Forms and Documents Required" below and/or Ontario Bulletin)
- Tracksuit Jacket order (all athletes and coaches are required to have)
Registration fees (HST # 12212 5131 RT0001) :
- Athletes: $ FREE
- Personal Coaches: $ 200 + HST
- Team Coaches: $ FREE
Registration Deadline: Friday, April 22, 2022 (4 PM)
Withdrawn & Refunds: ASAP and no later than Thursday, May 12, 2022 (12 PM)
Forms and Documents Required:
Clubs are responsible for collecting all of the forms and payments from parents. All forms (PDF or scanned) must be uploaded upon registration in Uplifter.
PDF and Scan files MUST be save and title individually with the document name and athlete/coach's name (e.g. GymCan medical form - Jorge Solorzano).

- GymCan Assumption of Risk 18+
- GymCan medical form
- If an athlete is attending the Canadian Championships with a coach from another club:
- Club MUST provide in writing the ALL the following documents by April 22, 2022, at 4 PM:
- The athlete's coach must provide in writing who will be the athlete's coach on the floor during the 2022 Canadian Championships
- The "substitute" coach must confirm in writing that he/she accepts the responsibilities to be the athlete's personal coach on the floor during the Canadian Championships.
- Club MUST provide in writing the ALL the following documents by April 22, 2022, at 4 PM:

- True Sport Clean 101 (untracked)
- Respect In Sport
- Policy Check (valid within 1 year of competition)
- Team Ontario Coach - Roles and Responsibilities Agreement (Team Coach Only)
- NCCP Number
- CAC Making Headway (Must be included in the NCCP records on the Locker - i.e. must be on the NCCP transcript printout).
- If the coach is not Certified NCCP Competition 2: the writing exemption from the Men’s National Team Head Coach must be granted (please see the GymCan Directive)

Team Ontario Tracksuits ($65 + HST)
Team Ontario jackets must be worn on the competition floor (exception is sessions for High Performance athletes as directed by GymCan). Clubs can purchase tracksuit jackets online here under our Purchase Products Page. This process is separate from the individual's registration.
Pants are not included. All delegates must wear PLAIN BLACK PANTS (no logos, design, etc.) with tracksuit jacket.
