Competition 1 (Introduction) 


This course covers the Sports Specific Technical training. Artistic Gymnastics, Trampoline and Rhythmic coaches will also require the the multi-discipline Theory modules, offered separately online. Click here to register for the Competition Introduction Theory online course. 

The Competition 1 Technical course and the Competition Introduction Theory course can be taken in any order. Both components are required for a Competition 1 Trained status.

The course is only open to coaches that are fully Level 1 certified or Foundations trained. Level 1 or Foundations Training must be completed in the same discipline that is selected for Competition 1 (Introduction).

Notification of withdrawal or transfer from the course must be received no later than 5 business days prior to the start of the course. Failure to send notification less than 5 business days prior to the course will result in forfeit of the full course registration fee. Coaches must attend the full course to receive course credit. If part or all of a module is missed, the coach will be required to re-register for the full course with no option for a refund. 

Coaches must be a minimum 16 years of age to register for this course. 

Coaches must have a valid GO Membership (coach) in the same season the course takes place. 

A valid [unique] personal email must be recorded during the registration process in order to receive future email communications from Gymnastics Ontario and access to the Learning Management System (LMS).

Please note that this course registration closes 5 business days prior to the first scheduled day of training to ensure that all coaches have adequate time to download and review Learning Management System (LMS) material.
