2026-27 MAG Judges Course

Regulations

 

As per the Gymnastics Ontario Technical Rules and Regulations Manuals, MAG Training Camp Framework, and MAG Judges Policies and Guidelines

 


Information


  • This course is a requirement for all judges willing to judge MAG meets during the 2026-27 season, including:

  • Beginner MAG judges, Provincial-level Judges 1 & 2, and inactive judges:

    • Dates: October 31, 2026 from 10 AM to 4 PM, AND
      Dates: November 1, 2026 from 10 AM to 5 PM

  • Provincial-level MAG Judges 3 & 4:

    • Date: November 1, 2026 from 10 AM to 5 PM

  

This course is optional and recommended for:

  • MAG Coaches interested in learning about judging (including the FIG updates for the 2024-2028 cycle) but not becoming a judge

  • MAG Athletes (ages 14 and up) interested in learning about judging (including the FIG updates for the 2024-2028 cycle) but not becoming a judge

  • MAG National and Brevet Judges willing to audit this course

  • For Coaches and Athletes - Club administrator needs to add the GO MAG Judge Provincial Membership to the athlete or coach account (Uplifter will waive the membership fee if the athlete or coach membership was already paid for the season).

 

To receive PD points, judges who have an NCCP number must submit it at the time of registration and attend 100% of the theoretical training session. 



Requirements

 

  • A tablet, smartphone, or laptop with internet access and a browser to access the course,

  • A Google email account with the domain "@gmail.com" is necessary to enroll in Google Classroom, and

  • The reference material (below - electronic or printed format) for studying to prepare for the course and reference during the course:

Judges must be 14 years old or older, and be registered with G.O. as a MAG judge in one of the following categories:

  • MAG provincial-level judge or

  • MAG national-level judge, or

  • MAG brevet-level judge

        Both pages must be filled out and signed (if a minor, both judge candidate and their parent/guardian must sign the two pages)
        Incomplete documentation will void registration - NO REFUNDS - New registration and payment will be required

 

Registration is a flat fee as follows:

  • Early bird Beginners, Judges Lv 1 & 2, and non-active Judges:
        $75 + HST /person until October 23, 2026

  • Early bird Judges Lv 3 & 4:
        $60 + HST /person until October 23, 2026

  • Ontario's HP Athletes:
        $1.00 + HST /person until October 23, 2026

  • Regular fee:
        $120 + HST /person from October 24 to 30, 2026.

Registration opens on October 8, 2026, and closes on the deadlines above. 

Refund Policy – There are no refunds after registration.
 

Affiliation – participants must be registered as a Gymnastics Ontario Member in the MAG judge - provincial category for the 2026-27 season.

Unattached Judges - Must register themselves via Uplifter on the GO Website.



Attendance & Certification

 

To become an Ontario MAG Judge or maintain the MAG Provincial level Judge certification for the 2026-27 season, all judges must:

  • Attend 100% of the entire course, and

  • Pass the exam with a minimum of 75% mark.

  • Attendance at the training camp portion is optional.
