ACRO Provincial Training Camp
November 2, 2024
Ontario’s Technical Vice Chair, Suzie Owen, and Provincial Coaching Chair, Sarah Morin, are organizing a training camp for Acrobats and their coaches. The camp is scheduled on Saturday, November 2, 2024. We would like to formally invite you to take part in this great opportunity to enhance your athletes’ preparation for the upcoming season.
The camp will focus on:
- Development & improvement of partnership skills for Levels 5-Youth
- Work on choreography and routines
- Base and Top specific training
- Tumbling Skills
Location: Fort Erie's Fantastic Gymnastics
20 Lewis St, Fort Erie, ON L2A 2P7

1pm – 5pm

Please note:
- All coaches will be actively involved in the training workshop and will be responsible for providing supervision, both in and out of the gym, as well as transportation, for every athlete they register.
- All athletes must arrive in their raining attire ready to train.
Please make sure your athletes bring their own water bottle clearly marked with their name and club and a snack.

About Camp Instructors:
Alyssa Belford
Alyssa is a former Power Tumbler who began coaching Acro in 2015. She has been the Team Ontario coach multiple time, with her L7 partnership winning the highest overall score at the 2019 Vegas Acro Cup. Alyssa has been a clinician at the GO Coaching Congress and is a recipient of the 2020 Provincial Coaching Award.
Jason Lang
Jason is a retired National level MAG athlete from Ontario.
He is a Level 3 WAG,MAG, and Trampoline coach and has been coaching for over 36 years.
Jason has been a Team Manager and Coach at the Provincial and National level. His dedication to Gymnastics has included being a Head Coach, member of several Technical Committees and a Club Board member. Jason’s Gymnastics coaching highlight was the 2013 Canada Winter Games..
Destiny Rettinger
Destiny’s love of dancing and passion for the performing arts began when she was just 2 years old! She has continued to train in Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Improvisation, and Voice. Destiny also added Modelling and Acting to her growing resume, including shows such as, Handmaid‘s Tale, The Boys, and The Next Step. Her latest role is a supporting lead named Mason in the movie Snowday on Nickelodeon and Paramount Plus. Destiny is an enthusiastic, dedicated sought after Teacher and Choreographer for over a decade. She currently teaches in studios across Ontario. Destiny's hope is to keep sharing her passion for the craft we love to call dance and keep inspiring all students each and every day!
