National Stream Training Camp

The RG Technical Committee would like to invite all eligible athletes and their coaches to take part in this amazing opportunity to enhance your gymnast’s preparation for the upcoming season. 

The camp will focus on Apparatus and Body Difficulties.

●   Warm Up 

●   Apparatus Difficulty Technique (risk & mastery) 

●   Artistry - dance and connections

Location: York Stars Gymnastics Club
                 189 Earl Stewart Dr Unit 1, Aurora, ON L4G 6V5
 
Date: November 2, 2024
 
Time:  4PM - 8PM
 
Who: All registered National stream athletes
 
Meals: All individuals are responsible for bringing their own snack. Please note that camp is peanut free zone.
 
Registration Cost: $65+HST
 
Registration Deadline: October 30, 2024
 
Notes:
  1. All coaches will be actively involved in the training camp and will be responsible for providing supervision, both in and out of the gym, as well as transportation, for every athlete they register.
  2. Please make sure your athletes bring their own apparatus, water bottle clearly marked with their name and club, and a snack.
  3. Administrator will be asked to enter all coaches that will be attending the event at a checkout / invoice.

About Camp Instructors:

 

Anastasia Ivankova

       

Anastasia represented Belarus in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the group all-around. She went on to win silver medals in the group all-around and 3 ribbons/2 ropes events at the 2009 World Championships, along with a bronze in 5 hoops. At the 2012 European Championships, Ivankova earned silver in the all-around and gold in 3 ribbons/2 hoops. She capped her career with a silver medal in the group all-around at the 2012 London Olympics.

Following her decorated gymnastics career, Ivankova transitioned to coaching. She moved to the United States, where she currently coaches aspiring rhythmic gymnasts, helping to shape the next generation of athletes. Ivankova brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from her years of competing at the highest level, and her coaching career has been met with enthusiasm and success. Anastasia currently coaches alongside Jenya Burlo at Burlo Gymnastics, where their athletes have achieved remarkable results, including becoming current USA National Champions in both the Junior and Senior categories. Anastasia recently attended 2024 AEON Cup in Japan where one of her athletes won AA silver medal.                          

 

Anastasiia Shykharieva

 

 

Anastasiia proudly represented Ukraine as a member of the national rhythmic gymnastics team from 2008 to 2012. She was a bronze medalist at the 2011 World Cup and competed in the 31st Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. Notably, she participated in the London 2012 Olympic Qualifiers, where she earned an Olympic license for the group.

Currently coaching at Kalev Estienne, Anastasiia continues to expand her expertise. She recently attended the PAGU training camp in Aruba and the 2nd International Camp in Bulgaria. Additionally, she accompanied Canadian National team athletes to the 2023 Junior World Championships and the 2024 Pacific Rim Championships.

Katia Musin

         

Katia began her rhythmic gymnastics journey at the age of 5 in Israel. After relocating to Canada, she competed nationally as both an individual and group gymnast. In 2010 and 2011, Katia proudly represented Canada at two World Cups and two World Championships in Aesthetic group gymnastics.

In 2017, Katia graduated with a BFA in Dance from Ryerson University. With over 15 years of experience, she has taught dance, coached gymnastics, and choreographed internationally.

In 2022, Katia established her own rhythmic gymnastics school while coaching national-level athletes. She continues to nurture both national and provincial level gymnasts, traveling globally to share her expertise. Her passion for choreography has allowed her to develop and mentor gymnasts on both national and international stages.

Katia specializes in intensive summer camps and choreography, bringing a unique approach to strength and stretching through the use of various equipment and apparatus.
