Registration Database Update:

Login Page New Look

January 11, 2019

Our registration management software, Uplifter Inc., will be launching a new feature related to account types. To accommodate the new feature, the login page will look different than usual; refer to the screenshot below. The change is expected to occur on Monday, January 14, 2019.

 

When you navigate to the login page you will see a login to the left (Have an Account?) for EXISTING ACCOUNTS and a login creation on the right (First Time Registering?) for NEW ACCOUNTS. Since member clubs already have an existing account you can use the login to the left. Please do not create a new login. If you do, you will not have access to your club’s existing account and your access to the database will be restricted.

When you login to your existing account, you will still have the same accessibility as usual. Please note that there have been a few small changes to the terminology you may see on the site. For example, “individuals” has been updated to “participants”.

More information about account types will be available when the feature is finalized.

Update:

Status of Canada Post Rotating Strikes

November 30, 2018

As of November 27, 2018, Canada Post is no longer on strike; however, they are still working to stabilize operations and manage significant backlogs. Canada Post has communicated that customers can still expect delivery delays, especially during the busy holiday season and into January 2019. 
 
I would like to remind member clubs that payment for membership invoices are still required by the due date. If you are concerned about your mail being delivered on time, then feel free to take advantage of Gymnastics Ontario's online payment options with credit card, Interac Online or Visa Debit. If you are unsure if your bank offers Interac Online or Visa Debit services, check your debit card for the symbol or refer to these sites:

Announcement:
Canada Post Rotating Strikes

October 23, 2018

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has decided to initiate strike action. CUPW intends to hold a rotating strike in different areas across the country. While on strike in those areas, mail and parcels will not be delivered or picked up. Canada Post continues to operate across Canada and is accepting and delivering mail and parcel in locations that are not on strike.
 

Please keep in mind these important notes in regards to your Gymnastics Ontario membership account.

  1. You are still responsible for paying your bill by the required due date. Please refer to page 14 of the 2018-2019 Registration Handbook for Late Penalties for Unpaid Invoices.
  2. Due to the labour disruption, Gymnastics Ontario may be delayed in receiving payments sent by mail. Clubs do have the option to make online payments with credit card, Visa Debit and Interac Online. For more information about making online payments, refer to this help page:

Canada Post customers can go to www.canadapost.ca/update for updates on where CUPW is holding the current rotating strike.

Membership Database Update:
Interac Online

September 10, 2018

Gymnastics Ontario can now accept Interac Online as a form of payment for membership registrations. For the full instructions, please review the help page, How to pay invoices during checkout.
 
An important note: This payment option will only be available for those that have Interac Online setup with their bank institution. If your debit card shows another payment brand's logo (ex. Visa Debit), you will not be able to use Interac Online for your online purchases. Before proceeding, it is strongly suggested to read the Interac - For Consumers page. 
 

Membership Database Update:
Search for Participants Registered by Your Club

July 19, 2018

Once registered, an individual profile cannot be deleted. This means as we go through the seasons, the number of individuals in your club's account will increase. At some point, your account may include individuals that are not active at your club in the current season.
 
The membership program now has a new filter to Only Show Individuals Registered by this Club when searching. To use the search feature, navigate to: My Account >> Individuals >> Filter Individuals By.

Club Membership Renewals Open for Registration

May 17, 2018

Registration is now available for club membership renewals! To begin, navigate to the registrations page: 2018-2019 Club Registration.

Registration instructions are available here: How to register annual club memberships.

Please keep in mind the club renewal information that is available on page 6 of the 2018-2019 Registration Handbook.

All clubs must be registered by June 18, 2018 at 3:00 pm.

Membership Database Update:
Installments & Late Fees

May 16, 2018

Installments

Starting for the 2018-2019 season, clubs can select to pay for the Recreational Club Fee and Birthday Party Insurance with an installment. During the final steps of the checkout, administrators can select the payment option from the invoice summary. There will be the choice to Pay in Full or Pay by Installments

Late Fees

The 1.5% Late Fee for unpaid invoices (refer to the Registration Handbook) will now appear as a potentially recurring fee. You will see the Late Fee (1.5%) under the Subscriptions heading on your next registration checkout, starting May 16, 2018. On the last day of each month, the club's account will only be charged for 1.5% of the balance owing if it is more than 30 days outstanding. If the club does not have an outstanding balance, then no late fee will be charged.

Membership Database Update:
Detailed Invoice Report

May 11, 2018

There has been an update to the Invoices – Detailed report. As you know, when a discount has been applied to an invoice, it is summarized in one line. Using the Invoices – Detailed report and applying the “Include Invoice Item Adjustment Details” filter, clubs will now be able to view the details of the discount. This includes the name of the individual, the discount amount and the membership being discounted.

For your reference, a club will receive a discount when the same individual has been registered for multiple memberships. The club will be charged the full amount of the higher membership and credited (discounted) the full cost of the lower membership.

Membership Database Update:
Payment Feature Enhancements

The membership database; has made enhancements to the payment feature to allow administrators to:

  • Update multiple payment methods at once
  • Make an immediate payment on multiple invoice transactions at once
  • Process partial payments toward the account balance
  • Apply credits to the account balance

Membership Database Update:
New Look to the Registration & Checkout Pages

February 22, 2018

Starting March 6th, the membership database will update the look and feel of the checkout! Users will find the pages sleeker, faster and more intuitive than before. The checkout process will remain generally the same; however, with faster load times and clearer segmentation of steps.

One of the biggest changes you will notice is the interface is much cleaner with summarized registrations rather than a long itemized list. Users will still have the option to show the registration details before completing the final step of the checkout.

Under the Registered Memberships, club administrators can view the club that registered the individual and the invoice number. Note: A link to view the invoice is only accessible to administrators of the same club.

Membership Database Update:
Searching for an Existing Participant Profile

December 13, 2017

There has been an update to the individual profile search that is useful for administrators with participants that are active in more than one club.

Search for participant profiles from other club accounts.

The club administrator can search for existing participant profiles by entering the minimum information (first name, last name, birthdate and gender) in the ADD NEW INDIVIDUAL screen.

There has been an update to the club administrator feature in the new registration management system that is useful for clubs with multiple administrators.

By inviting a club administrator to your club account, that prospective club administrator will have full access to all information of the individuals in your account and be able to register your individuals for memberships. If this person already has an account, he/she will be prompted to login and all information in their account will be joined with your club account. 

All administrators within the same club account will be able to view invoices and use gift certificates owned by any other administrator of the club account.
